| Instructor: | Deb Strain |
| Instructor Bio: | Deb Strain was initially a public school art teacher, Deb has been a licensed artist for over 20 years. She works with various companies to provide artwork for their products. Her work has been sold around the world on greeting cards, calendars, books, garden flags, figurines, prints and many other products. One of her favorite projects is designing fabric for Moda. Deb has been with this wonderful company since 1995 and genuinely enjoys the process of watching a collection grow. “It is exciting to work with color and pattern that eventually becomes fabric and then becomes a quilt or treasured project enjoyed by many,” says Deb. Deb spends a lot of hours in her home studio, but enjoys going out and speaking to quilters about the process that is involved in designing fabric. Her presentation illustrates the process from initial ideas and conception to final presentation of the fabric in your favorite Quilt Shop. As Deb explains, “Spending time with Quilters and talking about fabric is about as good as it gets!” |
