Longarm Certification

Class time is THREE hours and includes practice time. You will learn how to use the machine, how to layer the backing, batting, and quilt properly on the machine, quilting pantographs vs. free motion, how to start and stop the machine and how to baste etc. You will need to bring a small baby or lap size quilt of your own to quilt with your own backing and batting. Batting and backing must be 4” on all sides bigger than the quilt top.
For example: Top is 40” x 50”, so the batting and backing must be 48” x 58”. You will be sewing a large pantograph on your quilt due to time constraints. Please keep in mind you are practising and not quilting a project that you have in mind for a gift, do not bring anything precious. You will be “wobbly” at first.
